Module 1 Greetings


一、Teaching aims:
1.Have them hold the reading of unit 1.
2.Hold the greetings:hello,hi,goodbye,bye.
3.Hold the main sentence pattern of unit 2:good morning.
4.Listen and sing a song-Hello,hello.
5.Finish the exercises on the Activity Book.
二、Teaching Emphases:
1.The holding of the greetins..

The correct pronounciation of the words:mornig,hello.

Have the students know the ways to greet.

                     Period 1
Teaching aims:
Have ss hold the greetings of the dialogue in unit 1.
Teaching course:
(一) Organization:
1. Sing an English song:ten little rabbits..
2. Do the actions..
(二)Wamer
The teacher stands at the door and greets the students as they come into the classroom.
T:hello.Hi.Hello,Hi.
The teacher stands in front of the class and greets all the students again and prompts them to answer.
(三)New lessons:
Activity 1:Listen and point:
T:let’s play a game.
The teacher explains that they have to greet their classmates once again.
If the first student says “Hi”,the other student has to say “hello”.
The second student says “hi”if the first student says “hello”.
The teacher does an example.
T:Hi. Class:Hello.
T:Hello. Class:Hi.
The students work in pairs ans greet their classmate.
Listen to the tape recorder.
Then look at the book and watch the pictures.
Listen to the tape again and follow it.
The teacher point out that “goodbye” and “bye-bye”are two ways of saying farewell.
(四)Summing up:
We have greeted each other and enjoyed ourselves this class.
(五)Homework:
Greet your friend and parents.

Teaching aims:
Have ss hold the dialogue in unit 2
Teaching course:
(一)Organization:
1.Sing an English song.
2.act it out:greet each other.
(二)warmer:
Play a game:
The teacher explains that he/she is going to say different greetings and farewells.
The students have to respond with similar greetings of farewells.
The game continues with the teacher saying the greetings faster and faster.
(三)New lessons:
Activity 1:Listen and point:
T: Look at your books,please.
The teacher asks the students to describe the pictures in Chinese<Sam sitting in bed and there is a bird on the window sill;Sam is eating and a dog is walking past>
T:close your books,please.Now listen.

Play the tape and repeat it.
The teacher plays the tape again,pauses it after each utterance and the students repeat the statements.
Open the books and point and say.
The teacher plays the tape again and the students point to the appropriate
pictures and say the sentences.
T:Good morning. (The teacher repeats the greetings.)
S:Good morning. (The teacher prompts the students to respond.)
S1:How are you?
T:I’m fine,thank you.
The teacher has another student ask the question.
Activity 2:Act it out.
T:Look at Activity 1 again,please.
Now point and say.
Read the dialogue after T.
Listen to the tape and follow.
Work in pairs amd act it out.
(四)Summing up:
We’ve got more greetings this class.
(五)Homework:
Read the new sentences folloing the tape recorder and make a new free talk.
(六)Boardwords design:

Period 3
Teaching aims:
1.Learn to sing a new song:hello hello
2.Do the exercises on the AB.
Teaching course:
(一)Organization:
1.Sing an English song:One two three four song.
2.act it out.
(二)Revision:
Free talks:have two or three groups of class have a free talk to review
the greetings learned before.
Read the dialogue learned in last class.
(三)New lessons:
Activity 1:Listen and say,then sing and do the actions.
Before singing the song:The teacher asks the students to describe the
pictures.
The teacher explains that they are going to listen
to a song.
While singing the song: The teacher playhs the tape once or twice.
Then have class listen and sing,
After singing the song:The teacher mimes shaking hands and then
waves at the students from the door.
The students shake hands with a partner and then wave to the teacher.
Activity 2:Listen and number:
Open the activity books and look at the pictures.
The teacher asks the students to describe the pictures in Chinese.
Close the books and listen to the tape.
Listen and number.
The teacher corrects it.
Activity 3:listen and circle:
Look at Exercise 3 and the pictures on AB.
Have Ss describe the pictures.
Listen to the tape.
The students have to listen and circle one picture in each pair.
Listen again and circle the correct pictures.
The teacher corrects them.
(四)Summing up:
We’ve learned a very sweet new song and done some interesting exercise.
(五)Homework:
sing the new song to your parents and listen to the tape twice.

(六)Boardwords design:
Module 1 unit 3 Hello
Hello to you.
Goodbye to you.

(七)Summing after the class:

 

 

 

                    Period 4
Teaching aims:
Play the game on the SB.
Finish the exercises on the AB.
Teaching course:
(一) Organization:
1.Sing an English song:Hello,hello..
2.do the actions to review the words.

(二)warmer:
Free talks:have two or three groups of class have a free talk to review
the dialogue learned before. Review the whole dialogue and check the
reading up one by one.
(三)New lessons:
Activity 1:Game:Play and say.:
Open the activity books and the teacher points to one student and say,then
points another.
The teacher explains the game.
Then have them work in groups of four.
Play the game.
Activity 2:listen and match:
The teacher asks the students to describe the pictures.
The teacher asks the students what they think they have to do.
Listen to the tape and do.
If it is too difficult to get the students to identify the characters initially,
the teacher should point and say the names and the students can repeat
them.
Listen again and match the pictures.
(四)Summing up:
We’ve finished doing some interesting exercises, right?
(五)Homework:
listen to the tape and review the whole module.
(六)Boardwords design:
Module 1 unit 3
Good morning,Sam.
How are you?
I’m fine, thank you.
