Step1. Lead-in:
1. Look at a picture of a ghost and ask Ss what they think of it? Then teach the word ‘ghost’.
2. Ask Ss: 1. Are there any ghosts in the world?
2. Are you afraid of ghosts?
3. Do you like reading Ghost Story?
4. Have you ever listened to any ghost stories?
5. Do you believe there is a ghost?
Step2. Presentation:
1. Tell Ss the plot of the story. Listen carefully and tell me if there is a ghost or not.
2. Task 1: Fast reading
(1) Read the text carefully and tell me what the ghost was.
(2) Correct Millie’s sentences(Page 64)
3. Task 2: Read the text out and put the text into 4 parts.
Part1. (‘One Sunday morning~~ they were frightened’)
Part2. (‘Is anybody there ~~ Andy said’)
Part3. (‘Millie told ~~ like a whisper.’)
Part4. (‘Andy put~~ any more.’)
4. Divide Ss into four groups and each group finish one task..
