1. Content   Lesson 32: Part1-3 Page86-87 Development Lesson  
2.Objectives     ●To arouse the awareness of saving endangered animals. ●To help Ss find out the reasons why the Giant Pandas are in danger of dying out. ●To develop the skills of summing up a passage and find a suitable topic. ●To foster the skill of writing poster                                         
3. Procedure   Teaching Steps   Purposes
  1)Feedback of real life examples.  Setting the scene.(5 min.) ●Have Ss present their poster of animals in danger. ●Ask what Ss’ favourite animals are. ● Talk about lastest news about Panda (Talk about the news about the ones which are going to be given to Taiwan as a gift.) To attract the Ss’ attention. Lead them to talk about something that are relevant both with their everyday life and with the text. 
  2)Reading(15 min.) ●Tell Ss pandas, the symbol of WWF (World Wildlife Fund) are in danger. Exercise 1: Read and mark the answers(T or F) 1)      Long ago, pandas lived in many parts of Sichuan. 2)      There are more bamboo forests now than there used to be. 3)      Some pandas die because they don’t have enough to eat. 4)      Pandas eat a lot. 5)      The government is trying hard to save the pandas. ( Slide- show) Exercise 2: Read choose a suitable topic.. A.      Cute Bear B.      Chinese Giant Panda C.      Why are pandas in danger? ( Slide- show)   Task 1:   Fill in the blanks (find out why pandas are in danger)

这一部分在调整后显得衔接不上了. 建议: step 1: Competition: Step 2: Fast-reading Step 3: Group work   3) Learn the structure of a poster.(5 min.) Task 2:  Competition Ss read the poster and memorize the reasons for people to kill the animals. 建议 1、竞赛形式与内容具体一点 2、竞赛后:请同学思考:这是一段什么文体的文章?结构有何特点? 3、做巩固练习 Exercise 3:   Fast Reading: Read the poster (teach tusk)   Task 3: Discussion (in groups) ●Talk about how to make a poster. 建议:(小组讨论,派代表发言) 1、归纳Poster结构特点 2、归纳Poster的写作       To make it more interesting for Ss , and easier for them to remember.
●A lot of cities in Taiwan want to keep the pandas .Write a short passage to compete for the opportunity of keeping Giant Pandas when they arrive at Taiwan. (表述的语言不必写出来)   4)Post reading(18min.) A:  Task 4:   Guided Writing: Tips: 1.       How much do you know about the pandas?( The places they live, the food they eat) 2.       Why should we choose your zoo? (good conditions for pandas to live in, careful workers, millions of visitors, the weather ) B: Share the opinions(or Evaluation)              
  Assignment (homework) (2 min.) a. Real life example: On your poster, write the reasons for adopting one of them(eg., First, they are cute animals. Second,…) b. Finish off 4C L32
